Bella Rebekah: Dancing Through Classics, Shining in Film, and Crafting Stories   Bella Rebekah got her start in showbiz by playing baby Jesus in a local Christmas play. Growing up on Canada’s East Coast, she kept finding her way back to the stage, whether through school plays, dance recitals, or through performances happening in town. Dance became a major part of her life early on. She trained for years at the Rothsay Ballet School with Silvia Logan, eventually performing in classics like The Nutcracker. Later, she continued at Linda Raino Dance Studio and even found herself teaching salsa classes in Victoria, B.C. That early movement training still shapes how she approaches acting - not just with technique, but with physical awareness and presence. In high school, she started landing more involved roles. Playing Anna in Anna and Ahab was a turning point — the first time she really felt the pull of character work and storytelling. From there, she moved into professional theatre, performing in shows like Thief, Little Women, and Mayhem in Mayville. Her work has appeared on a range of stages, from the Imperial Theatre in Saint John to the Pia Bouman Dance Theatre in Toronto. She also took the stage in Godspell at the Phoenix Dinner Theatre, showing she’s just as comfortable in an intimate cabaret-style space as on a large proscenium stage. Bella Rebekah made a smooth move into film with a leading role in the award-winning short The Widow, acting alongside Jason K. Roy. She later played Mary in a Toronto Film School recreation of Intelligence, and took on two contrasting roles: Miller and the Stenographer - in Waiting for Lefty, showing her range and comfort with complex material. Bella Rebekah graduated with honours from the Toronto Film School’s Acting Diploma program. Along the way, she explored costume design, cosplay, makeup, and modeling. She also directed and starred in her first short film, The Pineapple, stepping into storytelling from behind the camera.
