Many models think that they don't need to learn how to shoot home auditions.  In the past when a casting was happening for a model (it is called a go-see) they would go to a photographer's studio or casting office and have their photos taken. Things are different today. I will be sharing a video blog with everyone here soon about my latest home/go-see, but want to quickly tell you a little about it now. A New York modeling agent emailed me about a casting. But, instead of going to a studio, this was a home audition. The client wanted clear shots of me, and needed information about my life. I had to record a few things, such as what I like doing when I am not working as a model and talk about my favorite TV show. I thought this was really interesting. Along with seeing the model, they believed that the personality showed in the home go-see was crucial to getting the booking. They also wanted the model to turn around 360 degrees so they could see my front and back. There will be many more home go-sees happening. That is why it is so important for models to learn how to shoot a go-see from home. To do this, models need to learn: What equipment is needed to shoot great home auditions/go-sees Where to get the equipment How much do you need to spend Where should your eyeline be during the go-see How to do basic editing How to arrange the lights What type of background is preferred The best way to send a large file And more.
