Actors, It is one of the most important qualities to learn to take directions. Whenever the director gives you instruction, do not look baffled or mystified, do not defend yourself or give an explanation. We often ask one or preferably two adjustments to see if the actor can take direction well.  The audition room is your first opportunity to demonstrate your acting abilities. Rehearsing your lines and understanding the character will help you portray the character and perform the role. However, at the end of your reading, the casting personnel may probably ask you to do something differently. Whether it’s a different style of reading or movement, they will request that you try and enact. Make sure you listen and understand what they have to say. Do not expect instant feedback. Be calm, composed, and exit gracefully. Directors often need actors who are professional and easy to work with.  Trust their acumen and vision, work with their direction!
